Ability awarded bronze medal in EcoVadis — among the top 35% globally

Ability Management AS (Group) has been awarded a bronze medal in EcoVadis 2024. The result places us among the top 35% of companies globally assessed by EcoVadis over the past 12 months within our industry category: general building cleaning. For us, this is an important milestone in our systematic work with sustainability, HSQE and responsible supply chain management.

EcoVadis is one of the world's leading platforms for assessing corporate sustainability performance. The assessment is based on international standards and covers four main areas: environment, labor practices and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The methodology is adapted to industry and country, and results are benchmarked against comparable companies.

From 2024, medals are awarded solely based on percentile ranking. The bronze medal is given to companies among the top 35% of all assessed companies globally. The criteria have been tightened from previous years, when medals were awarded to companies within the top 50%.

For our clients, this means documented and structured sustainability work, verifiable HSQE and ESG management systems, independent third-party assessment, and systematic improvement efforts. For many property managers, Facility Management professionals and public organizations, an EcoVadis rating is a qualification requirement in tender processes and supplier evaluations.

The EcoVadis evaluation does not only highlight strengths. It also identifies areas for improvement. For us, sustainability is not about one-off certifications. It is about systematic work over time — in operations, among our employees and throughout the supply chain.

"This recognition shows that we have robust systems and structures in place for environment, labor practices and ethics. At the same time, EcoVadis is primarily a tool for improvement. We actively use the results to identify measures that strengthen us further. Sustainability is not a project — it is a continuous process across the entire organization." — Marianne Stople, HSQE and Sustainability Manager at Ability.

The award is part of our long-term strategy for reducing our environmental footprint, ensuring safe and fair working conditions, transparent supply chain management, and documentation and traceability.
